Author membership?

    Hi,

    I’m looking for similar solution, but I’m not sure this is what I need.

    1. I want to limit author with memberships, but to leave content free for all visitors….

    2. I would like author to have free of charge publishing for 3 months

    3. I want to be able to confirm payment from backed (in case they paid by bank transfer)

    4. Also, is the registration page customization ready? (I need some more fields to be entered from authors)

    Hi 3×7,

    If you’re still looking for those details, I’ll see how I can help.

    1 and 2 can both be achieved by integration with standard WordPress user roles. You can have the Membership Levels associated with the ‘author’ user role for example. Once their subscription ends, they’ll get moved to whatever non-member level you setup, which would be associated with a standard user role.

    3. It sounds like you’re looking for a way to do manual payments? If so, you can simply handle the subscription process manually once the payment is confirmed. If you want an automated process that communicates with your bank, Membership wouldn’t handle that by default.

    4. The registration page is customizable by code, but there’s no back-end method to adding fields. The plugin provides methods that make it easier for developers to add fields, but there’s not currently a non-coding means of adding those.
