I was thinking of using NextGen Gallery for my forum group, but being able to comment on each other’s images is an important feature that we require. Does this mean I need to think again?
It might vary depenfding on your setup but a comment form appears at the bottom of every image page on my site so long as the wordpress page that the gallery is on has comments enabled. The nextgen pages appear to inherit the comment setting from the wordpress galley page.
The downside is that ALL comments show up on every page in the gallery. Take a look at my Toshi Yoshida gallery and click on several thumbs – you’ll see the comments repeated on them all.
I don’t think you can have comments for an individual image that’s inside of a gallery, unless there’s some trick I haven’t seen before.
You can obviously have comments on the post/page itself though.

I’ve searched everywhere on internet and now i understand it’s totally impossible for visitors to leave comment on each image, right?? 🙁
So,now we are in 2012 and it’s time for the developers to add this precious function.
