• It’s about as simple as can be, and all of the formatting from 2011 fails to come over when I use the child. Here’s what I have in style.css:

    [ Moderator Note: Please post code or markup snippets between backticks or use the code button. ]

    /*
    Theme Name:     Twenty Eleven Child
    Template:       twentyeleven
    */
    @import url("../twentyeleven/style.css");

    I have played around with whitespace, forcing the full URL, encoding, you name it – but no result.

    Your help is much appreciated

    Try this:

    Download the zip file on this page.

    http://quirm.net/themes/twenty-eleven-child/

    Copy the style.css file from that zip file (don’t edit it) and have that one replace your child theme’s style.css file.

    Make sure it is in wp-content/themes/twentyeleven-child and see if that makes a difference.
