    I’m having two issues here. Firstly I am also using All In One SEO Pack which is rewriting the page titles. This works fine everywhere except for the main events page where the title is displaying squashed together with no space e.g. Name of SiteUpcoming Events.

    My second issue is that in the listings for upcoming events there is always one event where the date doesn’t show above the title for no apparent reason. It is not always the same event it varies every time I add a new event.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi firebrat. Thanks for posting, and for your notes on these two issues. Happy to help best we can here.

    On the first: would having the ability to just rename the calendar page resolve this for you? Best I can tell, that’s the solution you’re seeking and it’s outlined in a tutorial on the tri.be site (specifically, http://tri.be/the-events-calendar-for-wordpress-tutorials/). But let me know if I misunderstood the request here.

    On #2: this is weird, and you’re the first to report it. Is it always a given event in the series (ie next upcoming one), or does it truly become random with each new event created? Any chance you can share a link to a page where I can see this in action, so that I can bring in a dev from our team as needed?

    Thanks!

    Thanks for your reply! I will take a look through the tutorial.

    On #2, now that I’ve added more events it has been happening more than just once. Random events are not displaying the date as can be seen on this page…

    The ones that aren’t displaying the date have nothing different about them when entering them in the admin. Bit of a strange one!

    Hey again firebrat. Did you get this sorted out already? Best I can tell by viewing that page you’ve linked to, each of the entries are displaying a date…but let me know if I’m confused here.

    This also brings up a broader issue…I notice that when clicking from your list into an individual entry, none of the traditional event data is displayed — and the URL structure isn’t the same either. Have you heavily modified the plugin already?

    Hi all!

    Same problem here (concerning the date dissappearing).

    I noticed that it’s when two dates are similar (12/09 and 12/09) because when I switch one to 13/09 this one appear again.

    I’m using this:

    <span class="event-day">
    <?php echo tribe_get_start_date( null, false, 'j'); ?>
    <br/>
    <strong><?php echo tribe_get_start_date( null, false, 'M'); ?></strong>
    </span>

    Any idea?

    Apologies the link has changed since I last posted it, the problem is occurring on this page…

    http://vivgroskop.com/events/past/

    Still totally stumped with it.

    Also can’t fix the problem with the page title. It is the title in the bar of the browser that is squashed together, not the title on the page itself. I can’t find any way to change this at all.

    Hey clecocq: any chance you’ve got a link so we can check this out directly, and try to troubleshoot from there? Thanks!

    FIrebrat: Thanks for the follow-up. I must be misunderstanding the issue here – when I view that page you linked to, here’s what I see: http://d.pr/i/IoFn. Not noticing an event where the date doesn’t show atop the list there…

    Re: the title tag for the page.There is unfortunately a known conflict with the All In One SEO plugin; we’re working to resolve that for 2.1 but in the interim there are unfortunately likely to be problems. It might be worth trying another plugin or manually overriding the title tags in the interim. Apologies I couldn’t offer up more on that end.
