I followed an interesting link earlier out my of logs and discovered something truly evil.Clicking on the link below will allow you to watch a spam attack in action.

Ive taken the liberty of getting the whois info, and finding out who is hosting them/it and plan on calling first thing Monday morning. I have already had experience with layeredtech regarding abuse from their “customers” and theyre pretty unresponsive via email.

Anyway, here is the link:

I REALLY recommend adding “affiology” w/o the quotes to whatever you are using to block referers.

Ive also posted this to digg.com in the hopes to get alot more folks calling.

I only wish a wordpress blog had brought that script down — a 227kb archive of the page as it scrolled past is available on my site.

More importantly, that domain name out to be in any and every blacklist.

EVERYONE needs to send off an email or call layeredtech on Monday!

I wish that i could locate the email I recieved back from their ‘abuse’ ppl where they demanded more than apache logs as proof that someone hosted by them had been sending me spam. There were two of us that complained at that time.

Well, of course I did. And got a form email back from them almost immediately. With this ticket ID: AEI-40971-174.

ive just emailed google as its currently using google queries to locate sites that have already recieved spam trackbacks.

For the recrd, they emailed me back. They want me to sedn them logs of the spam – they want the entire message (including headers and body) that was sent to me, or documtentation of the spam attempt via httpd logs.

Am I reading this wrong, or isn’t the spam attack being generated from a script run on a site that’s hosted by their servers? Should I just send them the link to the site?
