    After updating PodPress to 8.8.10.3, my Podcast feed is generating invalid XML. It appears to be leaving out the backslash to close the Primary Category tag.

    Thank you for this bug report! You may try the current Development Version.

    The problem is probably not a missing backslash. If you choose a category and a sub category as one of the itunes:category values e.g. “Technology:Podcasting” then correct XML is:

    <itunes:category text="Technology">
    	<itunes:category text="Podcasting" />
    </itunes:category>

    The sub category should be surrounded by <itunes:category> tags and the first one looks like the sub category tag except for the backslash. But that would be right because it is an opening tag.

    If one of your podcasts iTunes:categories includes an ampersand then that is the problem see http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-podpress-itune-feed-incorrect.

    If you are nonetheless convinced that the XML is malformed (and the ampersand is not the problem) then please post the URL to the RSS feed with the malformed code or post at least the category name you have set.

    Thanks,
    Tim
