dark.css, line 78, background: transparent. Get rid of the moz gradient stuff.
Hi – I’m having the same problem. I’m using a child theme with twenty eleven dark (using “One-Click Child Theme” plugin) but every time WordPress updates it forces me to go back and update the dark.css in the parent theme in order to make my nav bar background transparent again. I have done this successfully through a few updates, but now I am a little confused as to what code I changed in the past and I’m left with this black bar above my page menu. Can anyone please tell what I’m doing wrong here? And how to fix the dark.css so I don’t have to keep updating the code everytime WP updates? It always leaves me with this half a nav bar.

should actually not happen if you properly install and use a child theme.
what edits do you make where to get the transparency?
possibly try to work with a custom css plugin which should add the styles after all other stylesheets; http://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=custom+css
