Media library file names are corrupted

Hi,

I am using the WP e-Commerce plugin and for some reason the images in the media library are being duplicated as I copy the product pages. After copying a product page, I change the image on the page to another. Despite this, when I make yet a new copy the previously copied page, both the image of the original and on the previously copied page are being duplicated. And so on and so on…

So eventually my media library is full of duplicate entries with names like below: “example_image-duplicate-duplicate-duplicate-duplicate-duplicate-duplicate-duplicate-duplicate-duplicate-duplicate-duplicate-duplicate-duplicate”.

Just to be clear: the actual images are not being duplicated on the file system, just their media library instances/db entries (or whatever you call them).

Any ideas why WP is acting like this and how should I fix the situation?
