Keep getting time out error messages

I created my first custom PSD to WordPress website, and every once in a while, I get timing out errors when I try to load the page or my dashboard. Considering this is the first time I’ve built a custom page, I don’t even know where to begin to correct these errors (or how to correct them, for that matter). I’ve tried removing plug-ins, and I also added “define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘128M’);” to wp-config (both were suggestions I got off the forum). It kinda helped, but I’m still receiving these errors. Please help! 🙂
