• i am using the nrelate most popular widget in my sidebar to show 4 posts. it is showing my two most popular posts correctly (in comparison to my google analytics); however, the other two posts are not popular at all. they are my two most recent posts.

is it possible to show popular only? it would be ok if my recent posts were popular and it was showing them for that reason, but they have barely had any clicks in days.

it looks like it’s kinda sorta starting to get my popular posts correct, as it’s not showing unpopular “recent” posts anymore.

i installed the plugin on friday, and according to my google analytics since Friday, the widget is correctly showing my top 3 posts, and the 4th it chose to display is older and not popular at all. maybe it will display all 4 correctly soon?

i have it set to show my most popular posts since “10 years ago”, so it should be correctly showing my popular posts since i installed it on Friday, in sync with my google analytics since Friday.

@jennifer — Sorry for the issues you’ve been experiencing with Most Popular and we apologize that we missed your request. It looks like you’ve uninstalled, but we’d still like to help you get the plugin working well for you.

As a note – we determine most popular posts by page view (each time our plugin code loads on your page counts as one view). That said, we can only start our counts for Most Popular posts at the time of installation. Also, we don’t count page refreshes as two page counts as some other analytics tools might. Hope this helps explain things.

Please let us know if we can help you further.
