I’m building up my wordpress installation for the first time and I rean across your plugin for allowing folks to log in using fb/twit/g+/linkedin and did a couple tests.

Oh – and BTW – huge thanks for this plugin. I looked all over the place for similar plugin that didn’t require me to be dependant on some 3rd party external website to do this (besides the dependence on the API to the social sites!)… i.e. storing and managing my own API keys… So kudos for putting this together.

    1. The ittie bittie thing is… I cannot see the icons/avatars/gravatar? for facebook and twitter users… I DO see it for G+ though…

    2. oh… and I’m trying my own ID everywhere and despite signing out of everything, clicking twitter or facebook to login or both ends up making me show up as signed into G+… it’s probably something I’m doing! I’ll find some other users to test it with… probably because my user ID is the same everywhere and it’s just going with the one it recorded in my first test… I think I remember messing with this before, too, years ago!

so I guess #1 above would be the focus of this request……

    And TIA!

  • Hi dlopeman,

we have released a new version which will enables you to control how avatars are shown in your word-press installation.

    After you install this new-version:
    a) You will see a new option ‘Accessibility Settings ->Profile Picture/Avatar Comes From’ on plugin settings page. you can go for one of 2 options to change avatar display.

    – If you choose ‘Authenticating Provider’, then profile pic/avatar will be same as your picture on your authenticating provider. e.g you FB profile picture will be displayed, if you are logged in with FB.

    – If you choose ‘Gravatar’, then hen profile pic/avatar will come from gravatar.com; if you do not have a account there, no image logo will be shown.

Hope that adds some value to this plugin for you, keep enjoying 🙂
