    Hello,

The loading speed on my homepage on it-technology.co.uk is very erratic. Sometimes it’s lightning fast – under 4 sec, sometimes it’s dreadful – over 10 secs. The only “clue” that something is amiss is that the gtmetrix.com speed checking page sometimes shows a different homepage. It’s the same content but it’s a page I had a couple of weeks back when a plugin (since deleted) messed it all up.
The timeline in gtmetrix.com points to http://stats.wordpress.com/e-201229.js as loading very slowly (2.5 to 3 secs) – this kind of makes sense because after my plugin mishap the stats bar has gone awol from the top of my page (when viewing as admin).
Only problem is – how do I fix it ?

    Rgds

    Gavin

    Think I’ve fixed it.

In the W3 Total Cache settings – “Cloudflare” was enabled – I disabled this and all is OK. Quite why is beyond me.

I used a few tools to check your load time. As you mention your site is extremely slow. It is because of a combination of factors like large image sizes (optimize images), overall large size of your pages, a large number of scripts, etc.

Edit: Sorry, I posted this based on what your site had before you made corrections. Anyway, I would suggest that you test it again.
