You should be using the local language files; see here for more on that.
If you’ve done that and the “more” is still in English, do the following:
In your theme’s index.php file, you should see something like
<?php the_content('more...'); ?>
change it to something like
<?php the_content('mehr...'); ?>
or whatever.
If that doesn’t work, you can follow this tutorial

Hi filosofo, it really doesn’t work. There is simply no such a line in any of the index.php. Nether of wp nor of the Blix-Theme I use. Nevertheless: THANK YOU. Now I will try the hint from miklb. Thanks to u too!
Wukung, there has to be a line with a call to the the_content()
function in your index.php file. If there weren’t, you wouldn’t see any posts at all.
In Blix, you should see this:
the_content(); ?>
change it to
the_content('mehr. . .'); ?>

Thank you! THAT’S IT! Greetings and best wishes! Wukung.
That’ll learn me to skim posts 🙂
