    What I am looking to setup is after the number of articles I have set for frontpage display is reached the balance go into archives for the previous month. I am new at this so I hope I can explain as is now if I set for 4 articles and I have 6 or 7 the articles posted in previous month can be found in the archives under previous month but also show on next page linked from the frontpage. How do I set it so they are only in the archives after the month unless needed to reach the number set to be displayed.

    You can’t. That’s how it works. You can delete the next/prev link from your index.php if you don’t want to use it.

    And just for clarification: in the moment you published a post – it is “archived” in your database! How and where do you display it… it’s a matter of theme design.

    Can I replace the next/prev link with the list of the archives at the same location?
