I don’t want to share or save the big original images. After upload there are several (to many) smaller images created automatically. Few questions about this mechanism:

    1. How to delete the original image after uploading?
    2. After upload several images of differnt sizes are created automatically. In an other forum append I found the option to have a “medium” or “large” image. But what if I want to have a specific one, e.g. 450×300.
    3. Can I limit the range of images created – this to save disk space.

Thanks for helping or pointing to some code.

    Marc

    Hello,

You can remove the source images manualy only using FTP or cPanel. In order to create you own sizes it is necessary to select required sizes on the Media settings page or gallery settings page (if you want to create another size for gallery).

Oke – I’m now manually deleting the source-files using filezilla. It’s works, but adds a manual task to my list (if I don’t forget !!).
Must be possible to add a delete statement somewhere in the code.

Image sizes – I found a way to have alternative image-sizes defined. After some thinking and testing, I don’t go for that route in my case.

    Thanks.

WordPress doesn’t have such kind of option. We can develope it for you. If you are interested in this developing process please contact us via official website and I’ll provide you additional instructions then.

    best regards,
