  • Yea same happens to me, may have gone to 0. It seems to be sporadic though, some posts still have a few shares.

We have the same problem. We have lost hundreds of tweets and its embarassing. We’ve lost all our tweets, occassionally one may come back temporarily. Facebook and Google+ seem to look ok but will analyze this evening for accuracy.

google analytics seem to be tracking them ok…but its the readers that can no longer see the tweets.

WordPress: Please give an estimate time frame of resolution or may have to go the route to have a custom counter designed asap.

Just checked the count on facebook and google +. Those counts have dropped also by big numbers.

    Hi,

While we are still working on improving the system, you should no longer see counts with dropped numbers.

I’ve just checked the URL provided by calvin_ngan: http://www.geckoandfly.com/3356/microsoft-fax-software-how-to-send-free-fax-online-via-computer-and-email/. The counts look good.

If you continue to see issues on your sites, can you please email us at support@sharethis.com with more information on which URLs have been affected and what is the count difference?

    Thank you!

Our blog problems is a bit different, we get a blank page when we try to share.

The link you provided does not work for me (404 error).

updated the comment above with a working url.

The code on your page looks strange. It might be because you have not configured the list of services correctly.

Take a look at this article: http://support.sharethis.com/customer/portal/articles/446440. It shows how you can configure the list of services (step 3). Please note that google+ and facebook like are added using the relevant checkboxes (see step 4).

Let us know if this worked.

This has been working for over a year until today. I did check the preferences and they are all setup.

Thanks for following up. We have not updated the plugin code in the last days and there should not be any reason for it to behave this way. I’ve checked it on several other sites and sharing works fine.

Also, it looks like some of the issues were resolved upon rechecking the preferences, but not all of them. At this point, the easiest option is to reinstall the plugin. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact us at support@sharethis.com. One of our engineers will help you debug the issue.

    Thank you.

We’re still losing counts on Twitter.

We should have 12 but it has gone to 0

How do we get the twitter counts to count the number of times the stories link has been re-tweeted on twitter and not our home page?

Can you please provide us a link to the page where you see 0 counts?

For the other question, ShareThis does not “see” the actions that take place inside the network (e.g. the mentions in twitter) and at this point twitter does not provide an API for us to get that data. The only option is to set the widget to use native counts. This means that the number displayed in the button will be the number reported by Twitter and not the one tracked by ShareThis. The downside is that your ShareThis Analytics (the reporting system you can use to see sharing trends and insights available here: http://sharethis.com/publishers/metrics-dashboard#home) will no longer match the numbers you see on your page. If you want to do this, please contact us at support@sharethis.com.

    Thank you!
