Constant error messages cannot log in or go to dashboard
-
I am working in WordPress in a sandbox if you will testing themes and other things to see if this should become our final website. Over the last week or so, and it could be for anything, I download a plugin or a theme and all of the sudden I get an error message that locks me out of the Dashboard and login. I have tried to rebuild WP and nothing, so I have tried to re-install three times and this works, but I lose all my work and have to start all over again, trying to find the themes and plugins again. This current problem occurred after downloading a plug-in and activating it (earlier today there was a memory overload). I cannot have this happen on what will be a business site. I have no one I can call, so I am going through this board instead. The current error is Fatal error: Call to undefined function oik_require() in /data/26/2/50/140/2702792/user/2968976/htdocs/WineSpyBlog/wp-content/plugins/oik/admin/oik-header.inc on line 2
I am trying to get some help here as I do not want to keep reinstalling WP, what is can I do to login and/or get to the dashboard and why is this happening all the time? My Host does say they have a backup, but as this is on a sandbox their restore will wipe out any changes made to our current website too. I am concerned as this is happening a lot lately and it could be for anything, and hate to keep doing work all over again, I mean if this was our active site, we could not afford to have it be down. Let me know if any confidential info that can be hacked in the error message above and if I need to change any security after this. I am not a developer, I do not know code.
