Temporarily suppress RSS when amending a post

Fairly often I amend posts for corrections or additional info. Mostly these are minor updates and I don’t want the post to hit the RSS feed again especially as that feed also triggers another round of MailChimp emails for those who have subscribed that way.

Is there any way to suppress RSS feed for a post either permanently after it has been first posted or just for a specific update?
