Changing Permalinks without breaking links

    I am using Genesis New theme and I want to change my permalink structure from datacenterevents.info/?page_id=579 to datacenterevents.info/category-name/post-name without breaking any external links. How do I go about setting up redirects so that old links from Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin redirect to the newly structured permalinks.

    Howdy,
    So, your old links on Twitter, Facebook, etc. are in the format:
    datacenterevents.info/?page_id=579, right?

    When you change the permalinks setting on your WordPress site, those old links should still work without any special workarounds.
