I’m trying to set a title for an archive page for a custom content type. I looked for an option in the plugin settings and found the content type appearing but not an option for the archive page. I also tried to use the wp_title filter but, even with the highest priority, the title will not re-write (it works when the plugin is disabled).

How can I go about making this change? Thanks in advance!

  • Hi,

In Administration > SEO > Title Tag Rewriter, you have a “Post Format Archives” tab but it doesn’t work. I have the following message : “Your site currently doesn’t have any public items of this type.”

Is it a bug or a non implemented function ?

@joshcanhelp: SEO Ultimate supports rewriting titles for the custom post type objects themselves, but currently not the archive page for a custom post type. If you’d like to use a wp_title filter, go to SEO > Title Tag Rewriter > Settings and set the rewrite method option to filter. (Be sure to check the Help tab for implementation instructions.)

@sebchauss: Post Format Archives means archive pages for different post formats like status/chat/image/aside/etc. If your theme doesn’t support post formats then SEO Ultimate won’t show them.
