That is not how the plugin works.

A CAPTCHA is only shown after someone posts a comment AND Akismet flags it as spam. All other commenters will never see one.

I have the same concern. I logged out from my website and sent a test “contact” on my contact form and it didn’t get filtered. It appeared in my mailbox ???
Please help me! I’m getting 100s of spam contact emails every day.
Thank you sooooo much in advance.

Editk, this plugin only intercepts comments. The contact form and emails on your site are being generated by your theme, and there is no way for other plugins to intercept them.

One way to reduce your contact spam would be to have a contact form only on your contact page, instead of at the bottom of every single page on your site as you do currently.

Thank you Samir. I deleted the contact form from the bottom of the page. Will see what happen?
Also im looking into how to cgange the contact form to a new with a captcha. Will posted the result.
    Thx again

    Hi Editk,

There are lots of contact form plugins which support CAPTCHAs. Contact Form 7 is one of the most popular.

    Thank you very much
Samir for the tip. What a breeze… I had a morning w/o 100s of spam. I’ll work on my contact form. This is my weekend project.

Ty Samir for your help. I managed to activate my captcha and now the spam stopped. What a relief 😀
    All the bst to you….
