reference images in the visual content editor of a page

Hey all,

So I added a custom page, and I added a bunch of html markup to it, which included img tags that I want the user to set the src of. The thing is when I go in the visual content editor, and click on the image, it launches an edit image dialogue, and in advanced settings, the src box requires a full url. I think that is kind of dangerous, because when the user uploads an image to page, they may not know the full source path. Is there a better way for a nontechnical user to edit images from the visual content editor?
