modernizr-respond.js not working with child theme

    I’ve developed a parent theme that then has 3 child themes that can be applied separately to give different headers, link colours etc.

    The parent theme uses css media queries and modernizr-respond to make the media queries work on ie8 and below.

    All works fine when the parent theme is active:

    But when a child theme is active it breaks!

    I’ve been trying to solve this all afternoon and half of the morning and I cannot find a solution!! Does anyone have an idea as to why this may be happening…??
