User profile pages and roles

hi,
I’m building a site for a school.
I wonder to give the opportunity to students to read a sort of jobseeker section in the site.

What I’m trying to do is the follow:
– make the school able to create the students account (user+password)
– make the students able to go to their own profile page and edit it with 1 picture and some information (post-type?)
– give the students the ability to read the job-offer page
– create a listing page of all the registered students
– make the companies able to submit their announces without any restriction (just moderation by the admin)

ok.. I know there are tons of plugin to manage, role, log users.. but can anyone put me in the right direction just not to waste time?
Which is the simpliest and easiest way to do that…?
