One more idea… It would be nice if the ‘big browse buttons’ which overlay the entire photo, would be replaced by smaller forward/backward buttons (similiar, perhaps to the ones in the filmstrip). That way it would be possible to move forward and backward through the photos, but also open up the lightbox for a ‘closer look’ if desired…

Both good ideas, will be added to the wishlist. Thanx

Thank you for adding the viewer comments into the album admin page. Very helpful.

The fact that wppa is now ‘responsive’ is also a huge leap forward.

One other little suggestion…is it possible to make the viewers email in the comment editing section a ‘hot’ link. Just a little easier to respond to their comments before deleting or approving them…

What is a typical donation size, by the way?

Email suggestion added to the wishlist.

About the bbb’s: Is it an idea to split the frame in 3 parts, previous, lightbox, next? Visible in the tooltip.

The youngest donations range from 10 to 20 usd

    Thanks.
That would be a solution. I’ve seen tooltips which actually change into forward or backward arrows while they are overlaying the picture. You could change the tooltip into a magnification glass (or something like that) to indicate the lightbox mode in the center. That way you don’t have to worry about translation issues.
The only negative about this solution is that certain plugins which detect a photo underneath the cursor, can’t detect the photo because of the overlayed frame. In my case, I’m thinking of implementing some plug-ins which magnify what is under a ‘lens’ which the plug-in creates. (espcially nice for pictures of magazine or newspaper text). These types of plugins would only function if the solution you come up with had no overlays.
Just ideas…thanks for your excellent work!!

Just a further comment. I noticed that on my wordpress theme, when I have th einvisible ‘arrows’ activated, a menu item which may overlay a picture does not function. Although you can see the menu item, when you actually try to click on it, it doesn’t work, because the ‘frame’ overlaying the picture interferes with it. I’ve tried increasing my z-index values to >83, but that doesn’t do the trick. This may be another reason to get rid of the frames altogether.

Increasing the z-index of the menu > 83 should help, are you sure you did this?

I had increased the menu z-index to 84 … that didn’t work. But I just increased it to 101 … and that did!! Doesn’t quite make sense to me in that your frames had a z-index of 83 (I thought). No matter, it works. Thanks for asking me to take a second look at it.
