Switching Over from 1&1 Many Sites on one Host

    So here i am considering switching to Dreamhost for all of my hosting but I have a need to switch over a One WordPress Network and many other sites that are all hosted on 1 & 1. The3 domains are all registered at GoDaddy and I would like to keep them there. I do want to do this but don’t really want to take all the time to do it myself. Does Dreamhost help with this type of switch? If so then i am that much closer to moving to the Host.

    Yes, you can definitely have your domains registered wherever you want, and just point them to DreamHost.

    During signup, you’ll be given the option to transfer, or can decide not to transfer.

    If you run into problems, support will be more than happy to help you get the domains set up so that they point to DreamHost properly, without actually transferring them.

    DreamHost doesn’t do WordPress transfers for you, but usually support is happy to help guide the process if you run into issues.

    Verious B. Smith III, your intention is to keep your domain registration at GoDaddy and host with Dreamhost? The best way to find out if Dreamhost will help you to do the transfer of the files and databases would be to contact their support. As Mike Schroder said, its likely they would guide you through the process.
