• Hi,

I’m using the Fresh and Clean theme here. What I’d like to do is have all the posts from the “blog” category either…

    1. show full posts including text and image on the homepage (not the current excerpt there now)

    2. appear as full posts (as mentioned in #1) on a new page titled “Blog” that I assign as the front page via settings. (and subsequently, hide the link to “Blog” in the navbar)

I tried to find somewhere that said it was pulling in post excerpt instead of post content but couldn’t find anywhere. I’m not very good with HTML and CSS yet and am quite confused by PHP so far, so any codebending help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • Typically a file named category.php (or the theme provided file that is used to display these posts)is used to display a loop of a category and uses ‘the_excerpt’…does yours?

SwansonPhotos, thanks for the quick reply.

I’m not sure which file is displaying the posts on the front page. I tried index.php, page.php, post-entry.php and functions.php, I didn’t see anywhere that was using ‘the_excerpt’ I only noticed ‘the_content’
