I just downloaded the free version of the plugin and I am considering the premium version. I have a couple of questions. On the premium version (for $7) is there a limitation of number of sideshows? I assume that multiple slideshows (of different photos) can be created and placed on separate pages (one on each page), is that correct?

We are planning to insert a slideshow on a page. Is there a way to reload the complete page when you change slides with Satellite instead of just sliding to the next one?

There is no limitation to the number of slideshows, although the stylesheets are only optimized for 5, look at the #featured1 in the css and you’ll see what I mean. It’s simple to add more and I’ll be adding up to 15 for the next release which I’m currently working on.

The multiple slideshows can indeed be placed on separate pages, even with the free edition.

I’m confused about the 3rd question. Reload the entire page? Slideshows shouldn’t reload the entire page if I’m understanding your question, they should load within that page refresh. Otherwise you can just use images and links and create a new wordpress page for each image. Perhaps show me an example of a site? But I’m assuming no, Satellite won’t be able to do it.

    thanks for your response.

The reason for page reloads is that on CPM or CPV ad setups it is better for pages to be re-loaded (or actually a new page loaded) than to have the whole slideshow display on a single page.

The other reason that I was interested in a page re-load version of the slideshow is that it is tedious to setup images and links on each page.

Some people use the WordPress Attachment Pages as a page redirect to get more ad hits. Notice under ‘Advanced Settings’ you can enable this functionality. Every time a user clicks on the photo in a slideshow they will get redirected to a new page, getting more click throughs and more ad visibility.

You’ll have to add all your images through the WordPress Image Uploader, but it’s a nicer uploader anyways for the time being 🙂

I also have a question about multiple slideshows on one page.

I’m making slideshows from galleries for individual posts. I would like my posts to show up many to a page. I know the text says you can have multiple slideshows on a page, but will it work for blog pages listing multiple posts? That is to say, not deliberately coded to contain multiple slideshows, but to contain multiple posts, each of which contains one slideshow?

    Thanks!

    Yes it does.
