    Fantastic plugin!

I’ve started using Synchi (3.3) for editing templates and functions, and it definitely makes that job nicer.

But I’ve found a bug in the page/post editor, Synchi takes over and make ‘HTML’ editing default, and then when i try to switch to the ‘Visual’ tab the editor container-frame is not fully expanded (only about 10px height is shown) and if I navigate back to ‘HTML’ the frame stays small and uneditable.

I guess it must be a conflict with MCE?

A feature request would be to add a setting which allows a user to choose which areas of the WordPress Dashboard the Synchi plugin is active on.

I can repeat this bug in firefox and chrome (on linux).

    Thanks,
    dmotd

By the way, I’m currently working around the problem by commenting out:
    else if(editor_area.length != 0) synchi_initArticleEditor(editor_area);
    from synchi.js

    Hi dmotd,

I am very familiar with this bug – yes, it is a conflict with the MCE. The reason I am not working on it is because I’m spending my time developing Synchi 4.0 which is a full IDE, that will..and I am not kidding…blow your mind 🙂

So, please stand by, I am to release the 4.0 version (a totally new plugin ) that will not have this bug, and I hope you will like it. The release should come out in a couple of days, maybe this weekend.

    Thank you for using Synchi!

    Hi mdjekic,

Thanks, I’ve just upgraded to 4.1 – it’s looking pretty good, nice to be able to edit js from within the wordpress editor. I’ve switched off the editor from within posts, but I can confirm that it works. I’ll let you know if I come across any problems or have any feedback.

    Keep up the good work,

I wanted an IDE inside WordPress, so I made it happen. Glad you like it. I hope a lot of people will benefit from this.

I am very grateful for your feedback.

    Regards.
