• Hi,
I’m using Brian’s threaded comments plugin on my blog and it’s working except for one problem.

When someone posts a comment, there’s no “Your comment is awaiting moderation” text. Instead, the comment appears to disappear like nothing happened though it has been sent to the moderation queue

Is there something I could add to the comment.php to create this message when someone’s comment is sent to moderation?

    Thank you

  • I was hoping that someone with some php writing skills could close out this topic.

I am having the same trouble.

The comments.php file included in Brian’s Threaded Comments doesn’t have the code that tells commenters when their comment is being held for moderation. The result is that commenters believe that their comment has been lost and they resubmit a new comment.

Here is the php code for the default comments.php file:

[moderated: That was way too much code to have in a post. Next time, please consider using something like a pastebin service (http://wordpress.pastebin.ca for example)]

You deleted the code? Darn! I really needed that.
