Howto divide posts to 2-3 columns? (see pic)

This site has a setup kind of like that:

Scroll down past the first post to see the columns. To get in touch with them, leave a comment on a post (when I had the same question, I left one on this post:
http://www.ourtake.net/2006/site/do-you-have-a-question-or-topic-for-discussion/
so that the discussion on a news article wouldn’t get off-topic.)
