    Hi Chris,

Does this happen every time you run a backup? Or was it just the one time?

    Hi Jason

It was regular. However, the problem has been worked around at this end: I added all the miscellaneous local “support” folders in the WP root directory (which didn’t really need to be backed up) to the exclusion list, and things are fine again. The problem must have been in one of those. Solution published in case anyone else has the same problem and wants a workaround!

    cheers
