    I am not really good with wordpress and i am having a problem which i am struggling to fix since i really do not understand what is going on

    I got my css set up and when I go on the website everything seems to be in order, the problem arises when I open a post, it is just clean black and white, no CSS what so ever. Even with the images, when I click on the image it takes me to a black and white css-less page

    What could cause this?

    Thank you in advance

  • what happens if you switch to the default theme Twenty Eleven?

    can you post a link to your site to illustrate the problem?

    Thank you for the response

    here is a link to my website http://www.sahivsoc2012.co.za and here is one link to a post http://www.sahivsoc2012.co.za/?p=161

    I can not use any other theme as i believe that will break a lot of lines which will mean i have to start from the beginning and i can not really do that because i am on a deadline

    you don’t need to use another theme –

    switching themes to the default theme is one of the default troubleshooting procedures to exclude or confirm that a problem is caused by the current theme.

    anyway –

    you seem to have no call for the header –

    <?php get_header(); ?>

    seems to be missing at the start of single.php of your theme;

    if you look at the html code of that single post in your browser, you will see this immediately.

    Yes, I agree. Don’t use another theme it is not necessary.Just switched the themes to the default theme.Also do not forget to call header part so that you did get into trouble.

    thank you guys for pointing that out. After checking another working WordPress site i realized that it did not have “single.php” file, so i also removed it from my directory and everything seems to be working fine sonw
