Future proofing Polaroids 1.41 theme

    I am using the polaroids theme, i like it because it is simple, it has no side columns. I might be being a little ambitious but i hope in the future i will be able to sell advertising, will i be able to sell advertising for the side of the page or will i have to change the theme so that i can get the columns to be filled with adverts?

    You can always create (in a child theme) custom templates — to look however you want…

    If you put a div around the main content area, then you can restrict the width of it (as well as position it where you want it to display), and you can then include a side bar.

    Alternatively just place the sidebar within the main content div and then use css to make it float right (or left) and the content should flow around it.

    Simpler solution would be to place adverts under the content area – there’ll be less coding for you this way.
