Lost password/username

    Is there anyway to retrieve or get a new password/username? I used roboform for my passwords/usernames and must have inadvertantly overwritten the one for my blog. I have more than 300 stored, too many to remember and cannot remember what the username or even the email address was that I used to set up my blog. I don’t want to lose the blog, it is biz related rather than personal and is used by many of my list subscribers to get updates and leave comments.

    If you can’t do that, contact your host.

    They may be willing/able to access to your MySQL db (where your WP user/pass is stored), perhaps resetting your MySQL user/pass.

    I have the exact same problem. How come the “Lost your password? ” function doesn’t work? I get a new pass but I can’t loggin……. this mysql routine freak me out as I’m not good at mysql. Plus my host is not to willing to do such thing for me.

    Actually you don’t, the OP doesn’t have the original email address.

    How come the “Lost your password? ” function doesn’t work?

    Works well for others… You can’t login to WP with the info sent you? If so, post some details, any changes, specific errors, etc.

    I followed the phpmyadmin and it worked – thanks so much for this. I inadvertently forgot to print out the info for my latest blog and had forgotten it all.
