• When I try to connect to my web site (with EM installed) using the WordPress Android application, I get an error message saying there’s an XML error with Event Manager which blocks my attempt to connect\add the site.

I’m using the WordPress Android application on my other WP (personal) blog and it works great for approving comments, quick glance at site stats, etc.

The actual error shown in the pop-up is:
    org.xmlpull.v1.XmlPullParseException:
    unexpected type (position:Text/js/events-manag…@1:23 in java.io.InputStreamReader@405158b8)

    versions:
    WordPress for Android v2.1.2
    Wordpress self-hosted v3.3.2

I’m trying to log into the site using the WordPress for Android app. The first step is adding your site to the app, which requires you enter URL, username, password, etc. Then after you click “ok” button, it logs in and (if successful login) then it adds that site to your app’s site list. After adding the site, you get access to the dashboard and other features on your phone.

The error happens when you try to add your site, it gives you the error when you’re trying to login and validate the site. So you can’t log into the site using the WP for Android app.

Here’s the WordPress for Android app, in case your not familiar with it.

That’s the full and exact text of the error pop up dialog on the phone. See the error text in the opening post.

will take a look when time permits (will probably take some time though), what’s strange is it’s saying the first line is wrong, but it’s definitely not.
