• This is happening consitently, when I got into the participants database settings and try to change the email addresses for sending/receiving announcements of registrations, as soon as I click save, I am getting ‘This is embarrassing’/404 errors when I try to do ANYTHING in /wp-admin. I installed WordPress through my host’s CPanel installer (Softaculous), I add the plugin from WordPress. I don’t have any other plugins activated (thought that might be my problem). Any thoughts? I *really* want to use this plugin for an alumni database, so I hope this is an easy fix. Thanks!

  • skankware,

I ran across this post while looking for something else…

I use this plugin on a community band website but also run an Alumni site. It would be perfect for an alumni site!

I’m replying because I had a similar problem. It turned out to be the windows server. I switched to Linux and my problem went away.

Maybe you already have a Linux server but when I was looking for an answer to my prob no one would suggest it had to do with windows so I thought I’d share.
