Basically I already installed the List Category Posts plugin and I’m not sure that I can get it to do what I need, I’m considering using your plugin but I wonder if I could display posts from one parent category and exclude all subcategories? the trouble is if I exclude children by ID then subsequent children would have to be amended as they were created …
I would like to display posts from the parent category at the top of a page and then posts from the children further down the page, at present if I try to do that the content is duplicated on the page?

Just came back to say – I bit the bullet and tried out your plugin (after reading a post somewhere where you explained that the ‘works up to wordpress 3.2’ bit can’t be updated til you update the whole plugin – and can confirm that it works beautifully in wordpress 3.3 and it does far more than it says on the tin – what a great plugin and thanks so much 🙂

i am sure to solve your problem please email me if not solve the above syntex i give pankaj_kumar036@yahoo.com
