Weaver Theme Page with posts not working

    I’m using Weaver 2.2.8 (not Weaver II) and I can’t get the page with posts to work. I basically want a PAGE with static copy at the top of that page, then list the posts for a specific category under that copy.
    I’m filling out the slug in the category field but All I see is the static copy. None of the posts below it.
