In the advanced settings page you can turn on ReCaptcha. You’ll need an API key for that.

Also, FYI, there is a hidden “fullname” field that is meant to trap spammers. If is hidden via CSS, so humans won’t enter it, but spammers might. If it’s non-empty, an error is thrown.

And if you wanted to create a captcha of your own, you could use these hooks (look them up in the source):

    pmpro_checkout_boxes
    pmpro_registration_checks

I had completely missed that option in the settings. Thank you!

I have enabled ReCaptcha in the settings as well as provided my keys, however the captcha box does not display in the sign up form. Is there an additional step required?

    Thanks,

    Chris

Chris, I missed your follow up here. But it appears the recaptcha API has been updated. There is a new version of their php library. The next PMPro version (being pushed out sometime today) will have the new code. So you can wait and upgrade PMPro.

If you don’t want to wait, you can overwrite /includes/lib/recaptchalib.php with the file from the zip file here:
    http://code.google.com/p/recaptcha/downloads/detail?name=recaptcha-php-1.11.zip&can=2&q=label%3Aphplib-Latest

    Thanks!

paid memberships pro is great plugin. But I was found. If use reCAPTCHA. Can`t enter by IE.Fire Fox is OK. Although he would like to use a settlement amount, setting it to 0, even if it puts in a character what times, it does not succeed by IE. Please check there.

Infoster, I’m slightly confused by your English, but you seem to be having problems with Recaptcha on your page in IE.

Which version of IE are you referring to?

Are you using the latest version of PMPro?

Things are working for me with PMPro 1.5.1 and IE9.
