Update my profile email address

    Hi,

    Does anyone know how to update or change my email address for my wordpress.org profile? I have tried to change it in the Edit Profile section, but the email address won’t save.

    I am no longer working for the company whose email address I am using so I want to change it to my personal address.

    What format is the email address that you are trying to add? I don’t have any problems changing my email address.

    It is along the lines of email_withunderscore@yahoo.com.au

    I have tried multiple times with no luck. I don’t get any error message, it just doesn’t save the change.

    I just did a test with an email address that doesn’t have an underscore and it works, so the issue appears to be that.

    Emails with underscores work fine. You’ll notice I just changed your email address in your profile to your example. 🙂

    What doesn’t work is *duplicate* email addresses. Only one account on this system per email address. If another account already has your email address, then the change won’t stick when you try to make it.

    Not only did I find out that I can change the email address, I just found out that at some time in my distant past I have registered another profile on the WP Forums.
