Not list_pages but something like get_pages?

Hi, when playing around trying to acomplish my design I´we gone stuck. When using wp_list_pages all the 7 pages i have created comes upp in a list, but what i whant is the 7 pages to come up after each others. My idea is to have a table and to separate the outputted pages names and links white images to acomplish a menu. Does anyone know how to get the number of pages, and maybe the link of the different menu pages maybe through there menu sorting number….
