problem with featured image when pages are static

    can someone help me,
    Ive noticed on few of my sites that if I change to static page instead of recent posts, it wont give me posibility to add featured image – the option is there but when i click on it, there is only a button to insert it in post?!

    Does your theme support featured images? Featured images apply to both posts and pages but your theme must support it and that you have enabled this feature.

    I suggest read/peruse this doc quickly and see if it solves your problem.

    i dohave option for featured images and ive put few before ive decided to have static pages instead of latest post – since then I cant put featured image- there is still an option but cant insert image- it doesnt even let me upload it :((

    What is theme called? Is it downloadable free of charge for us to try it out?

    You need to zip the entire theme and upload it to your website and post a link here for us to download it directly.

    Alternatively, you can use Microsoft’s Skydrive and make the link public so that we can download it. Microsoft’s link is here:

    You want the free version that gives you 7GB of free disk space.

    You can also you DropBox, or GitHub, or post it on pastebin.com

    There are a LOT of free options, including zipping it up and putting it on your own server and linking to it 😉
