[Plugin: APC Object Cache Backend] How To Verify this is Working?

How do you verify that this plugin is actually working? I installed it, but have no idea whether it is caching? Also, when someone who is not a logged in user comments on the site, will they see the comment right away or do they need to wait till the cache is flushed?
