    For anyone else having this issue, here’s what fixed it for me:

    I set up a new wordpress install and this is the only plug-in… Upon entering a valid code, I saw the:
    Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for /…
    error.

    The download worked great, but the error was nice and ugly and the file size showed up next to the download link as “0 b”.

    I tried customizing upload paths, etc, and nothing helped until I thought maybe the filesize dealio didn’t like spaces in file names. I renamed my download file to not have a space in it, and poof… issue fixed.

    Thank you for the suggestion. It might have to do something with your linux/PHP versions. Anyway, it would strongly recommend not to use blanks in filenames on a web server.
