On both the event list page and single event page, I have post date and posted by. In Settings | Pages I have “Display events as” set to pages. Other WordPress pages on this install do not show posted date and posted by. Is there a way to get rid of this on the events pages as well?

    Thanks,

    Ray

have you tried option Override with Formats? set to no?

if EM can’t force events to use pages, you need to copy your page template in your theme, e.g. page.php and copy/rename it to single-event.php

Thanks for both suggestion. Tried setting Override with Format to no, didn’t work. It actually made the booking form disappear, but the post date and by is still there.

Also tried renaming the page.php to single-event.php. That didn’t work either..:(.

you must be doing something wrong here then… either that or your theme is doing something dodgy.

single-event.php will always override (unless you’re not on the latest EM version, then, try updating)

It is entirely possible I have done something wrong (wont be the first time). Might also be the theme. I am using atahualpa theme, which doesn’t have a page.php, just index.php. I renamed index.php to single-event.php. That might be an issue.

I am using EM version 5.1.6

yes, you need to copy, not rename.
