I wanted to add that I have seen the posts where sometimes there are issues when permalinks are not set at default. On the prior versions of the plugin, all was fine and the above issue was not an issue. This just started after the update. Our permalinks are set to “Post name”. I did try switching to default to see if anything would change, but more of the pages on the site do not appear.

After reading a similar issue from a more recent post, I went back and verified that unchecking the box to force ssl on the page(s) fixes the problem. I do, however, need those pages to be encrypted as customer information is gathered.

Sorry for the numerous replies to my own post, but I found another point that may assist in resolving this problem. In my original post when I mentioned that it sometimes works, what I have found is that when the page displays, the page is NOT encrypted via the certificate. It is as though it just skips over the “force ssl” and just displays the page. When it fails to display the page, the ssl is clearly active.

Hope this info helps. If any testing or more info is needed, please ask and I will do what I can to help.

All appears to be working well, no issues. Thanks for the update and the excellent plugin, it is much appreciated.

    Dear Mike,

Thanks for working so hard on this new update!
Now the theme remains unbroken, as opposed to the previous version (3.0).
    BUT…
After upgrading to 3.0.1 our issue is as follows: The page displays correctly, but remains http instead of https.

    An example: http://angiesdiary.com/banners-and-text-links/

Thank you in advance for your support.

Is the page just secured using Force SSL?

    Yes…

    Any ideas?

    Hey Angie,

Looks like there’s a redirect loop on that page. Try enabling debug mode and looking at your browsers console for an error about a redirect loop.

    Thanks,
    Mike

I did enable debug, but the redirect error remains when looking at the console. Still the page shows (isn’t that strange?)

For the record: we use a unique IP with our own (confirmed) certificate.

Thank you for your efforts, Mike!

    Hey Angie,

Debug mode won’t stop the loop from happening. I’m trying to confirm that’s what’s happening by having you look at the error produced in the debug log.

If that’s what is happening, I’ll see if I can reproduce the issue. If not, I may need to try out a fix on your server if that’s okay.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

All your efforts are immensely appreciated!
The site resides on a VPS with Plesk.
Let me know what we can do from our side, OK?

    Cheers,
    Angie
