export posts from one category from databse

    I am trying pull posts from only one category out of the database. In the wp-posts table there is a field called post_category, but all the posts have a 0 in that field.

    Anyone know how I can search for all posts from category X.

    I know how to display only posts from a category in the blog, but I want to export them from the database so I can put them into another database.

    you’ll need to join posts with post2cat.

    If you’re going to another blog (or web app) have you considered pulling a category based RSS feed from your blog and importing it to the other?
