    http://www.staceyjune.com

    I made an error while attempting to migrate the site contents to another host and domain and am now just viewing a blank screen when visiting my login page. The site is also not viewable.

    Looks like I redirected the site to the one I ultimately would like to go to, but in a foolishly. Now all I want is to access my site and content and deal with the migration separately.

    In talking to my host provider (laughing squid), I have added the following code:
    define(‘WP_HOME’,’http://www.staceyjune.com);
    define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’http://www.staceyjune.com’);
    just before the line: /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */
    This is not helping. Infact, with this addition, the page is entirely blank.

    Can someone please help me?
    Thanks so much!

    try to access the site via the ip address followed by /~username/

    for example if your ip was 123.123.123.123 and username stacyjune

    http://123.123.123/~stacyjune/

    see if that gets you to the site, if so add wp-admin to the end and login.

    Thanks, I will try this. Can you point me to where I could possibly find the IP address?? (I’m clearly in over my head!)

    Sure, you can usually find the IP address on the dashboard when you log in to your webhosting account (Hostgator, Bluehost, etc).

    Then you’ll need to take that IP address with the username you log into your webhosting account with (not your wordpress user name) and try the IP/~username combination.

    Let me know if you’re still stuck.

    Hi,

    I have similar problem. My pages are just now published but, there were problems, so I notice that my domain address was wrong at the WordPress basic settings. There was URL and home address (was it called that?)
    http://www.jhkuvat.com/www.jhkuvat.com
    the right address is http://www.jhkuvat.com, so I take extra address away from both address fields. Now I can’t get into WP login page anymore, it says:
    404 Error File Not Found
    The page you are looking for might have been removed,
    had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

    I tried to use IP address in format
    http://MyIP/~jhkuvat.com
    but I get the same error message.

    Any Ideas what I could try next??

    Hi JaTa,

    It’s kind of hard to say without seeing your WordPress install and database, the best thing for you to do it contact BlueHost support (click live chat button from their homepage) and they should be able to fix you up.

    Hi JaTa,
    Would you be willing to share what your host told you to do? I’ve requested assistance from my host but they haven’t been able to solve it. I’d REALLY appreciate it.

    Thanks

    Hi stacyjune,

    Unfortenatelly I don’t know what host support guy did, but he fixed my pages from there, and after that, I could use login at address http://www.MYDOMAIN.com/wp-login.php

    I’ll hope that someone can help You in your problem.
