    Hello, I’m at a loss, please help. I tried to edit a functions template on my site and this error came up.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘:’ in /home/teresavi/public_html/wp-content/themes/tvillegas/functions.php on line 57

    and now I cant even get to my wp-admin page, just the error show up.
    and my website doesn’t show up either…

    how an I correct this?
    Please advise,thank you!

    Try to access the file via FTP or your host’s admin panel (cPanel) and do the necessary correction(s) . Alternatively replace this file with a copy of the original file .
    It that sounds to “tech” let us know .

    As you wish , but usually this kind of configurations are made by the owner or the web-developer of the site .

    OK where do you get the original file from though? I made the corrections to the file where I thought it was necessary, but it still shows up with the Parse error
